Did You Know?


Denver public schools attempted to honor Martin Luther King Jr. by providing a "Southern Style" lunch menu of fried chicken and collard greens — a meal that some say is an offensive caricature of black culture.

Denver Public Schools apologized for what it called a "well-intentioned but highly insensitive" attempt to honor the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

I laugh at this because when did fried chicken become a serious way to honor black people and such a person of that stature? Anyway.
